What should have been an unforgettable celebration turned into a tragedy. Mina Basaran, a 28-year-old Turkish woman, died last Sunday in a plane crash with seven friends who accompanied her on her bachelorette party, held in the city of Dubai.

Basaran, the daughter of billionaire Huseyin Basaran, was identified as one of 11 victims left by the crash of the private jet they were traveling in. As reported on CNN's online website, the small aircraft was reported to have crashed into a mountain in Iran after mechanical failures were reported.

Through their social networks, Basaran and her friends had shared some of the moments they lived prior to the tragic accident, showing themselves happy and smiling.

According to information obtained by the Associated Press news agency, a witness who witnessed the accident said that before the jet hit the mountain it was already on fire. Just before the aircraft plunged to the ground, an emergency call would have been made reporting a technical failure that could not be fully described.

After his luxurious bachelorette party in Dubai, Basaran planned to marry his fiancé, Murat Gezer, on April 14, in a ceremony that would take place in a five-star hotel in the city of Istanbul.

The Turkish Red Cross confirmed that the seven friends who were traveling together with Basaran were among the victims: Zeynep Coskun, Ayse And, Burcu Urfali, Asli Izmirli, Liana Hananel, Jasmin Baruh and Sinem Akay.
