A 66-year-old woman who had repeatedly circumvented airport security was arrested after sneaking onto a flight from Chicago to London. Now many wonder how the old woman did to circumvent all the checkpoints and get to the British capital without anyone noticing.

According to a press release issued by the police, on January 15, Marilyn Hartman, from Grayslake, Illinois, managed to circumvent the security of O”Hare International Airport, to get on the British Airways company aircraft.

Security cameras at the air terminal captured the woman moving through different parts of the facilities without the corresponding documents.

Tandra R. Simonton, spokeswoman for the Cook County District Attorney, told The New York Times that Hartman sneaked into Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers as they reviewed other passengers' documents.. "She hid her face with her hair to go in front of the inspectors without presenting the corresponding documentation and boarding the flight."

The woman then attempted to board a plane bound for Connecticut, but was intercepted by an agent. So, says Simonton, the old woman spent the night in a terminal room, where she waited until she could catch another flight.

The next day, he got on a shuttle to the international departure area and boarded the plane for London. "That shuttle requires a passport and a plane ticket for boarding," Simonton said.

After landing at Heathrow Airport, Hartman was arrested and sent back to the United States. The woman was placed in a Cook County cell on charges of theft and trespassing.

In a hearing this Saturday before Judge Stephanie K. Miller, the accused was released on condition that she seek psychological help and stay away from British Airways planes and O'Hare airport.

According to police reports, Hartman has been repeatedly arrested for minor infractions by trespassing at the air terminal at least four times. The woman has had to carry a device to track her movements, and even then she managed to sneak into the airport once. This is your first criminal charge.
