The whole world was shocked when in 2010 the news broke that a divorced father of a family had murdered his three young children and disappeared with them after Thanksgiving.
Nine-year-old Andrew, seven-year-old Alexander and five-year-old Tanner Skelton would never meet their mother Tanya Zuvers, who to this day continues to struggle to find the remains of her little ones, and even hopes that were alive.
It seems the day may have come. The Skelton brothers reoccupy newspaper and news headlines after a wooden box appeared in a house shed in the state of Montana.
Once vacated by its tenants, the owner ordered it to be collected and cleaned, and it was then that the operators found a box there containing human bones and teeth.
Michigan police are investigating whether the remains found belong to children missing nearly a decade ago, according to PEOPLE magazine. At the moment the Montana State Crime Laboratory has confirmed that they are human remains of three minors whose ages vary between 2 and 4 years, 5 and 8 years, and 6 and 10 years.
Although there is no confirmation that it is the missing children, everything coincides. Even her mother, Tanya Zuvers, hopes that the true whereabouts of her children could finally be discovered.
“These data were presented to our family in the last hours. We are processing it and we hope to have answers soon. We appreciate all your wishes and prayers”, wrote the mother on her Facebook account.
The father and murderer, John Skelton, is serving his sentence at the Bellamy Creen Correctional Facility in Ionia, Michigan where a sentence of 10 to 15 years in prison was imposed from the time of his arrest. With these new data, everything could take a turn and even lengthen the sentence that weighs on him.
