At Christmas time when families get together, many of us may have our cables crossed, others of us might forget someone on the gift list, and some family members, for example grannies, get creative with the excitement of see everyone together.
This was the case for Alex Bermingham's granny, who let the world know how her grandmother would decorate her Christmas tree with nothing less than underwear ornaments.
"My 74-year-old grandmother bought balls as Christmas decorations at Dunnes Stores, which I realized she didn't know when she bought them that they were floss thongs," the young woman wrote on her Twitter account. "I wish everyone a very peculiar Christmas."
Incredible but true, some tiny thongs that came packed in plastic balls that looked like Christmas decorations -typical little detail that is given this time-were enough for Alex's granny to buy in quantity to decorate her tree.
Whether it was a mistake or a joke from granny is not known, but the good thing is that the incident has gone viral and made everyone laugh on social networks. Since December 11 that the tweet was published, it has been shared more than 21 thousand times and has more than 70 thousand "likes".
