In less than three days, Keaton Jones and his mother Kimberly Jones have gone from anonymity to stars of a viral video against student bullying and, now, to scandal, after photos of them with a Confederate United States flag were discovered..

After tearfully recounting how his schoolmates teased him about his physical appearance and bullied him at school, the little boy began receiving messages of support from celebrities, and even someone opened a page for him on GoFundMe. Everything was fine, until someone saw the photos of his family with a Confederate flag, a movement that tried to preserve slavery in the United States during the Civil War.

"That viral video of Keaton Jones talking about being bullied is heartbreaking, and I am touched by that boy," Tariq Nasheed, who describes himself on his Twitter account as an anti-racism strategist, tweeted.
