Almost four months have passed since the explosive news that the United States Treasury Department had placed the Mexican singer Julión Álvarez and the footballer Rafa Márquez on a list of alleged drug traffickers of the drug trafficker.

Now, Espinoza Paz - another popular singer of northern music and band - admits that he has sung for drug traffickers and that many of his colleagues have also sung, something that should not be denied.

"I am not going to say names, but I have heard them and they have talked to me, and it would be a lie to say that we have not done so," said the 36-year-old Latin Grammy-nominated artist.

The singer explained that on the occasions when it happened, he did not realize who had hired him until he got to do the concert. In no case, he assured, has he had any problems.

"I could say that they have treated me well, they have respected me and I thank them for it, firstly that they give me work and secondly that they have treated me well," he assured the Notimérica network.

During his interview, the interpreter of "Perdí la pose" and "Cobijas ajenas" distanced himself sharply from the world of drug trafficking.

"If they think that this is what they are going to do for the world, then let everyone choose their path," he exclaimed. "But I am going to tell you one thing, there are more dangerous people that I have sung to and authorized and more dangerous, who have done more harm as a country and who are authorized to do that [sic]."

With these statements, the singer would join a long list of celebrities, such as Kate del Castillo, Alicia Machado, Joan Sebastian or Jenni Rivera, who have been linked in one way or another to the world of drug trafficking.
