Yes, a 10-year-old boy apparently managed to unlock his mother's new iPhone X. The story seems incredible, but it is true.

Apple had announced that one of the new features that the iPhone X had was the facial recognition system. This, it was thought, would allow the owner of the new cell phone to have greater security and not depend on a password.

However, a 10-year-old boy from Staten Island, NY, was able to circumvent the facial recognition system.

Amar Malik, a boy who is in the fifth grade of elementary school, went to his parents' room to see his new smartphones. Both the father, Attaullah Malik, and the mother, Sana Sherwani, had placed the so-called Face ID on their phone.

"There is no way you can have access to this phone," the mother said jokingly, Attaullah Malik told the WIRED portal.

Attaullah offered his son to take his phone, but mistakenly picked up his mother's. When the boy looked at the screen of the cell phone, the iPhone X was automatically unlocked. Parents were stunned.

Even, in the beginning they commented that they found it even funny. However, after realizing what happened, Attaullah told the portal that he and his wife communicate all the time via text and maybe they could talk about something they do not want the child to read. "Now my wife has to delete the text messages, when there is something she does not want Ammar to see," said the father.

Family members who look alike could unlock Apple's face recognition system. WIRED even argues that Apple admits that twins and even non-identical family members can circumvent the security system.
