Tennessee authorities arrested a United States Army combat medic accused of raping and killing a 9-month-old baby girl - who was one of her twin daughters.
According to The Leaf-Chronicle, police on Wednesday were called to the home of Christopher Conway, 22, in Clarksville (about an hour from Nashville), to help a family that was applying first aid to the creature., but this one did not respond. The baby was taken to the nearest hospital where she was pronounced dead.
That same newspaper reported, according to the arrest warrant, that during an interview with the police, the girl's father confessed that he had raped her and then strangled her with a cord.
Department of Children's Services spokesman Rob Johnson said the baby's twin sister was removed from the home and placed in a temporary home.
Conway was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on $ 100,000 bail on the charge of rape of a minor. However, on the murder charge, the judge denied him the right to bail since he indicated that this could be a death penalty case.
On the Facebook page of the confessed killer of his own daughter there are several photos of him posing with his two babies and his wife. They look so happy that no one would have imagined that this family would have such a tragic ending.
