According to El País, the thieves decided to return the puppy after the family sent a letter through social networks, since their daughter Maia had fallen into a deep depression due to the disappearance of her pet.
The thieves broke into the family home on November 6, in addition to jewelry, an iPad and other objects, they decided to also take Sasha, 8 months old. Her disappearance caused the family to plead with the thieves to return her for the health of their daughter.
The reality is that Sasha had only lived with the family for a week, but in those days, the puppy managed to have a strong bond with Maia. The story and the message seemed to have touched the thieves' hard hearts and according to information from the county police, the following day Sasha appeared in the patio of the house. “My wife got up to make coffee and noticed that there was a figure moving. He checked it was Sasha and started screaming,” Ryan Hood, the girl's father, told Australian network ABC. "Maia spent the whole morning playing with the pet."
Of course, the bandits only returned the puppy and kept all the objects they had stolen. According to the authorities, there is a possibility that the thieves' plans were not to stay with Sasha.
