Last weekend a referendum was held in Catalonia in order to determine if this city becomes independent from Spain and becomes a new country. Given this, during a game for the national team, the public decided to show their repudiation to Gerard Piqué, who came to cast his vote in said suffrage.

The footballer believes that being in the Spanish team "is not a patriotic issue."
