Within hours of a 64-year-old man committing the worst killing in US history in Las Vegas, Nevada, police have begun identifying the victims of the heinous incident.

Sonny Melton, Denise Gesford Chambers, Lisa Romero, Jordan McIldoon, Jessica Klymchuk, Adrian Murfitt and Quinton Robbins are already among the 58 people who died during the attack at the hands of Stephen Paddock.

The subject opened fire on a crowd that was witnessing the performance of singer Jason Aldean during a country music festival that was held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and that has left 515 wounded.

Sonny Melton, a 29-year-old nurse from Tennesee, heroically perished by saving the life of his wife, Dr. Heather Gulish Melton. "He grabbed my hand and we started running and I felt when he was shot in the back," said the woman from the WYCB radio station. "I want everyone to know that he was the man with the kindest heart, the most loving man that ever existed, I can hardly breathe."

According to a Facebook post from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, Melton graduated from that institution and worked in the emergency department of the Henry County Medical Center.
