According to the Puerto Rican resident commissioner in Congress, Jenniffer González, the successful artist did not think twice and sent his own jet to help a group of cancer patients from Isla del Encanto to whom the damage caused due to Hurricane Maria, treatment had been interrupted.
"Thanks to @pitbull for lending their private jet to move PR cancer patients to the US so they can get chemotherapy," the island's representative in Washington wrote on Twitter.

The star, whose real name is Armando Christian Pérez, is part of a large group of celebrities who have been touched by the devastation caused by Hurricane María.
Last week Jennifer Lopez donated food, water and supplies to her native Puerto Rico as part of the recovery after Hurricane Maria.
"That's a situation he has to deal with," said head coach Rick Carlisle. “Mark gave him the team plane and they filled him with things to take him to Puerto Rico and back. He is going to return to his mother and grandmother, and from what I understand, his father will stay there to help with the recovery.”
