Just as social media exposes the intimacies of some celebrities, they also help expose suspected abuse. This time it was the turn of a teacher in the Mexican state of Texcoco, which was revealed through a video in which she can be seen mistreating one of her students in class.

Marina Pérez Velázquez, who worked at the Venustiano Carranza school, was prosecuted by the authorities after the dissemination of the images in which she is seen physically and verbally assaulting a student, the Mexican newspaper La Jornada reported.

The Mexican authorities explained that the teacher will be under supervision until her legal situation is determined. The reality is that it is not the first time that teachers have been exposed for abuse. Last week, a Latina teacher from Nueva Jrsey faced accusations of assaulting one of her students. Nataly López, 27, now faces multiple charges of sexual assault and jeopardizing the integrity of a minor.
