Last Wednesday, George Clooney performed for the Tequila company Casamigos, which he created in 2013 with Rande Gerber and Michael Meldman, as confirmed by the actor himself through his press office.

"If asked if four years ago we had a billion dollar company on our hands, I don't think we would have answered yes," Clooney said in the statement.

This tequila company will now be managed by the British multinational beverage company Diageo. Last year, Casamigos sold 120 thousand boxes of tequila and this year he plans to place 170 thousand.

According to the North American news portal CNBC, said company agreed to make a first direct payment per year and our faith in Diageo, "he added. "But we are not going anywhere. We will continue to be part of Casamigos starting with a drink tonight. Or maybe two”, concluded the actor.

Clooney, Gerber and Meldman, initially, created the brand with the idea of producing for personal consumption among family and close friends; however, when they required to have a license to continue making tequila they decided to sell it to the public.
