Jazz Festival In New York

New York dresses up once again through the Blue Note Jazz Festival. Founded in 1981, the Blue Note Ballroom is a jazz institution in the Big Apple. Every year to celebrate the life of the club, this festival is held that brings with it renowned artists in the jazz world such as Natalie Cole, Nancy Wilson, among many others.

This week as part of this great celebration, Dr. John and Henry Butler brought their talents together at The town Hall, a theater located in the center of Times Square. For more than an hour the musicians from New Orleans made the audience present dance and shout through their extraordinary performance.

Dr. John is a pianist, songwriter, and singer who has been the winner of six Grammy Awards. His name is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

For his part, Buttler is known for his technique and his ability to play the piano in many musical styles. The musician became blind during his childhood due to glaucoma, so he began his musical career at a school for the blind. Hurricane Katrima destroyed his home in 2005, such a catastrophe caused him to move to Colorado. Currently lives in New York.
