A week ago, a Mexican publication accused Emmanuel of having used his Hombre Naturaleza, AC foundation in a diversion of money for 200 million pesos -about $ 11 million- corresponding to an infrastructure project in Chiapas, Mexico, an accusation that the singer today denies.
“It is a slander that is being raised, I still don't know why. I am not dedicated to building. I am not an architect”, the singer clarified to the Mexican television program Ventaneando (TV Azteca). “I have no contracts with any state, nor with the state of Chiapas, nor with any (other) state of Mexico. I dedicate myself to singing and I have a foundation that does beautiful things for the environment”.
This project, which was carried out seven years ago, consisted of carrying out constructions to save part of the Sabinal River, located in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas. According to the magazine, they were never carried out, losing financial resources.
The interpreter of “La chica de humo” explained that his foundation only supported a few young architects to promote his reconstruction project for this flow and he dissociated himself from any responsibility.
“The government would work with this construction company and these architects, and they would give them money to start the project and to do the project. Where's the money? It is built because it is on the river, "she added. "How much did it cost? I don't know that anymore; that no longer corresponds to me, nor am I interested in knowing it”.
Emmanuel Acha - the artist's first name - warned that he wants to know "who is attacking me". And I send a strong message to the publication that aired that accusation: “They put out a created note, I don't know by whom, where they hit my image. My image that has been formed during a 40-year career. Know that I am going to take action on the matter. Yes, I will take action on the matter. That is not going to stay like this."
