The player's fiancé Aarón Hernández, who committed suicide in his Massachusetts cell, broke the silence to speak for the first time publicly about the tragic end of his beloved, which occurred on April 19.

Shayanna Jenkins-Hernández, 26, made a special appearance on the Dr. Phil show to do a recorded interview - which will appear next week - and there she touched on topics such as the rumors that Hernández, 27, was gay and that he had a male lover in prison.

The woman, who along with the New England Patriots' excuser, had a girl named Avelle Janelle, only 4 years old, said that when she found out about her lover's suicide, she thought "it was a joke." "[I thought] it was a cruel person who wanted to trick me," she said, visibly shaken by the tragedy.

Jenkins also denied the version that in one of his 3 suicide notes, Hernández had left him clues that he planned to kill himself. "I thought everything was shining brighter now," he confessed. "We were climbing a ladder in a positive direction."
