The man accused of cutting the throat of Colombian doctor Lina Bolaños and her boyfriend in Boston previously worked as in the building where the crime was committed and had a backpack full of jewelry when he was wounded in a shootout with the police.

This was announced by the authorities to the local media in the capital of Massachusetts, where this horrible case occurred last week in a luxurious penthouse located in South Boston.

Bampumim Teixeira, 30, a native of Cape Verde, is admitted to Tufts Medical Center hospital, recovering from the injuries he received in the confrontation with the police. Since he cannot move, the charges for his alleged responsibility in the two murders were read to him on Monday.

According to an official account, the agents managed to intercept Teixeira because Dr. Richard Field, Dr. Bolaños's fiancé, managed to send out a distress notice before losing his life. This prevented the intruder from escaping.

People obtained a copy of an e-mail that was circulated among the residents of the building where the events occurred, in which it is reported that the subject worked as a custodian of the property.

"The suspect … served as a custodian in our community before leaving the building on his own terms after a few weeks," the note explains.

Teixeira worked for a company called Palladion Services, which until February provided security and concierge services to the property. Later, another company took over these functions.

People tried to get feedback from the company, so far without getting it.
