A video captured in the Masai Mara reserve in Kenya shows the impressive moment when a python snakes a hyena completely.
The images, captured by Jos Bakker, a tourist on a walk in Kenya, show how the python coils around the mammal without resting.
The snake was found by National Geographic when the digestion process began. People in the area were also put on alert.
Mike Kowalski, one of the researchers who found the snake, told National Geographic it was very rare for a python to tackle dangerous prey like a large hyena, whose jaws would easily be able to crush its skull.
"To my knowledge, there have been no precedents like this in terms of documentation," said Kowalski.
