After the appearance of a complaint that associated the late singer Joan Sebastian with a network of exploitation of minors, the singer Maribel Guardia came to the defense of her ex.
"I would put my hands in the fire for him," the artist told the program Suelta la sopa (Telemundo). "Are lies!".
The controversy was unleashed a few days ago by the journalist Héctor de Mauleón, who reproduced in his column in the newspaper El Universal the testimony of two minors who identified themselves as victims of prostitution.
According to the article, Amanda, then 12 years old, assured that she had seen the King of Jaripeo in a brothel in the Mexican city Taxco, where they were offered to girls between 2 and 20 years old.
"Joan Sebastian told the girls [minors] that they were his princesses and he would take care of them like their dad," Amanda said in a statement before the PGR's Specialized Unit for Investigation of Trafficking in Minors, Persons and Organs in June 2014, according to column.
Accusations that did not convince Maribel.
“The article has neither head nor feet. There is nothing more terrible and painful than the white slave trade, "Guardia said. “[Joan] is not even alive to defend himself. I find it surprising."
