Christen Marie McAllister, who was fifth in the Miss Kentucky beauty pageant last month, is accused of starting a fire after she allegedly set the bed of one of the people with whom she shared her student residence on fire.

According to the NBC affiliate of Louisville, KY, after midnight on February 18, firefighters were called to a student residence building near the University of Louisville because there was a fire.

When interviewed by that television station, one of his neighbors said that when he saw the firefighters, he thought it was an accident in the kitchen. However, what would have happened is that the 22-year-old girl, enraged by an argument, would have set fire to the bed of the person he was arguing with. This was confessed by this, according to the police, in front of the body camera of one of the officers who came to the scene.

In a statement sent to that television station, her lawyer said that McAllister is a gifted student and added that "this is a very difficult time for her and her family" and they wait for the judicial process to begin so that they can talk about the incident.

Although the date of that trial has not yet been released, it is known that fortunately no one was injured in the fire.
