If the best perfumes come in small packages, also the most vigorous grandmothers. It is only enough to see how a small woman named Zhang Hexian practices the martial art of kung fu at 93 years old to realize it.

The CNN reported that the long-standing woman has spent 89 years practicing this martial art that mixes discipline with strength and that she began practicing for her self-defense when she was just four years old.

The vigorous old woman - whose photos practicing kung fu in China have become a phenomenon on social networks - says that this routine is a tradition that has been in her family for more than 300 years. The type of kung fu she practices has 15 styles, each with 36 types of movements. Although each style takes about three years of learning, in her long life she has had enough time to learn them all.

"The hardest part was learning to squat firmly, because it made my muscles hurt so much," says Zhang. "I remember being so sore that I couldn't even go to the bathroom."

Another hard part of the workout was the hunger that made him exercise so much. Since her family was very poor, the young woman had nothing to eat, she admits. Fortunately, she overcame all obstacles and today the agile woman not only practices this martial art, she also teaches it to other people in the town where she lives - her favorite being combat using bamboo sticks.

The woman attributes her longevity to her exercise routine, as well as her good eating and resting habits. "To maintain a good body you need to exercise and maintain a positive attitude," he says. "It is also important to help others as often as possible."
