Acapulco's beaches, favorites among lovers in search of a romantic destination, became the setting for a wedding on Sunday in which 220 couples swore eternal love in a shared ceremony.
The event was an initiative of the City Council, which decided that it was the perfect preamble to mark the Day of Love and Friendship, which is also celebrated today as Valentine's Day.
As disclosed by the Mexican newspaper Excelsior, the local government that in the past hired Luis Miguel to promote its beaches, gave wedding rings, in addition to a bouquet, the cake, the veil, a toast, and guided the process before the Civil Registry”, all free of charge.
The lovers came dressed in white: the women with the albo color in short and long dresses (and one or another veil), while their partners wore shirts of that color with dark pants. A group of mariachi even performed the song "My pretty wife".
The massive ceremony was held under the Catholic religion in the state of Guerrero and within the framework of that government's program called "Building my marriage."
