A Nigerian healer known as Baba Masaba passed away at the age of 93 last Saturday, leaving a family of probably a record-breaking 103 wives and 203 children.
According to the BBC, the religious of Muslim confession - whose real name was Mohammed Bello Abubakar - claimed that he had a divine gift to cure diseases and, of course, attract women.
"I 'm not going to look for them, they come to me", said Masaba the chain British news in 2008, he spoke with several wives, which indicated that they had met when they sought to cure their illness.
Not only did he heal them, but they ended up marrying the also preacher, whom the Nigerian Islamic religious authorities consider the leader of a cult.
In his interview with the BBC eight years ago, Masaba said he had 86 women and 170 children. Since then, according to the Nigerian newspaper Daily Trust, the numbers had increased to 130 wives and 203 children.
"I consider that God asks me and I marry them," he said.
One of his wives, who met him when his mother took her to be cured as a teenager, offered another version of how the healer acted. "I said I said I couldn't marry an older man, but he replied that it was a direct order from God."
