An Argentine judge has decided to prosecute Justin Bieber for assault and robbery in relation to the incident he starred with photographer Diego Pesoa three years ago while in Buenos Aires.

The case dates back to the beginning of November 2013, when the Canadian star was at the entrance to the Ink nightclub and Pesoa wanted to photograph him.

According to the indictment, the singer asked his bodyguards Hugo Alcides Hesny and Terrence Reche Smalls to assault the photographer. In the ensuing brawl, Pesoa suffered an injury to his left arm and his photographic equipment was taken from him.

According to the Argentine daily Clarín, members of Bieber's security team entered the nightclub's office to proceed to erase evidence from the camera systems of what had happened.

As a result of that incident, the artist was requested by the Argentine justice and even last year a judge asked Interpol to arrest him, as well as the two bodyguards.

Finally, magistrate Alberto Baños prosecuted him on Wednesday for the causes of "theft and minor injuries."

Bieber plans to do a tour of several South American countries this year, but if he wanted to appear in Argentina he would have to first solve his pending issues with justice. Otherwise, you run the risk of being arrested upon arrival in the country.

Under Argentine law, you could face a prison sentence of between one month to six years. Something that remains to be seen, because his lawyers will appeal the decision of Judge Baños. Furthermore, there is a possibility that you will reach an agreement with the plaintiff.
