Onasi Olio-Rojas, a Rhode Island resident, nearly lost his life broadcasting on Facebook Live how he was driving more than 114 miles per hour and causing a dramatic car accident.

The 20-year-old was on Route 6 in Providence, speeding between cars, frantically changing lanes, and all while filming his nonsense behind the wheel. His recklessness ended when he collided with a garbage truck, crossed between three lanes, and finally hit the containment barrier on that road.

As reported by the authorities, the young man did all these skills while holding his camera in his right hand to film his negligence. In addition, he was driving without a seat belt and was increasing his speed to exceed 100 miles per hour. As expected, the terrible scene ended with his car crashed into the contingency wall of that highway.

Miraculously, the garbage truck driver was unhurt, while Onasi was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he was declared in a “stable” condition shortly afterwards.

According to the affiliated Fox News station in that city, since July 2015 Olio-Rojas has carried out 5 traffic violations and, only this year, has been involved in 3 accidents.

Law enforcement officials say this video will be crucial in the trial he will face, after they file charges against him for driving negligently and with a suspended license.
