The actress has polished every corner of her home in Los Angeles where she finds herself complying with social distancing accompanied by a friend and her already famous dog Lola.

"I've been crazy. People who are bored to start doing the housework so they get mad. The housework is never finished, the truth is tremendous. It hardly gives me time to clean something. I end up so tired that I don't feel like exercising anymore. There are times that I do get to exercise and other times that I do the exercise cleaning, "he confessed to PEOPLE EN ESPAÑOL.

This time away from the recording sets has been used to reflect on what is really important in life, he says, since he never imagined that the world would experience a situation of this magnitude, such as the pandemic.

“This is global, that is what is incredible. It is a way of realizing that we are all connected in one way or another, "he said. "[I'm] in complete shock. We are like jailed. It is when you value what we are as human beings, freedom. Right now we are not free, we are caged but we also [see] that we have done well to the planet, how everything is flourishing, how animals are outside, flora and fauna are incredibly well, that means that we are very toxic to the planet, it is very ugly”.

Although technology has been her best ally, since it has allowed her to see her loved ones daily, she confesses that she has learned to value physical contact and to depend less on the phone when accompanied.

"I think we are going to learn a lot from this and surely when all this is over, we will come out as better human beings, [I] hope," he said. "[Valuing] things as silly as physical contact, that then all these people are on our phones that we do not peel the people we have at our side. We do not value the people next to us, we do not see eye to eye, we do not touch them, we do not kiss, because we are on our phone. This closure has brought something good on a professional level for the actress, since this Thursday she returned to the small screen with a special edition of La Reina del Sur 2, which will include images and scenes never seen before.

“I am happy because they are going to be scenes that were not seen in the first one, so that is very good. Right now what we need is that, entertain ourselves and what better than La Reina, she said. “I miss everything about the Queen, I love that character, I have a lot of fun, I have very good friends, all of the cast, I had a blast with everyone and with Carlos Bolado the director is the best, traveling. I have an incredible time with La Reina, it is super tired, yes, I end up dead but I have a lot of fun. I like to work like this, I like to work under pressure and I like to be there on set, that's what I enjoy the most”.

Kate anxiously awaits the day when she can be in front of the camera again. The first thing on the agenda will be to resume her theatrical tour with the staging I'm OKate, which was interrupted by the pandemic.
