For a long time, Yolanda Andrade suffered various episodes of depression caused by alcoholism that she suffered for several years. The experiences of the driver because of this addiction led her to consider extreme situations; She even tried to commit suicide with a firearm to end her despair.

"I pulled [the trigger of a pistol] and the bullet bounced, thank God," Andrade revealed in a conference titled My Life is Today, which he taught at the Federal Police in Mexico City. "I drank two bottles a day."

According to the co-owner of the Montse and Joe program, he did not consider having a problem with intoxicating beverages because he saw it as something everyday that allowed him to continue with his personal and professional activities. She says that alcohol also made her feel powerful and did many reckless things that put her at risk, and, worse still, placed the danger on other people due to her irresponsible attitude.

"I calmed down and lived my life, according to me normally, because I was a productive alcoholic," she said. "Drunk makes everything easy for you, you fall into provocation, abuse, you go out driving, that's irresponsible."

Yolanda Andrade has been sober for several years and now she wants to prevent young people from having any addiction; therefore, it seeks to create awareness among them about the conflicts caused by having this type of dependency and how accidents can be avoided due to this situation. She also took the opportunity to recognize the importance of the police to protect citizens; even in situations of this nature.

"We need the police as a city, as authorities," he warned. "They are essential for the prevention of youth against addictions."
