The unstoppable spread of the coronavirus, declared Wednesday as a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO), has put in check many celebrities who are outside their respective countries and who are finding it difficult to return to their households due to aggressive measures being taken by states to combat the outbreak.
This is the case of the Colombian actress Danna García, who is in the Spanish autonomous community most affected so far with about 1,400 infected.
"I am locked in Madrid, waiting to be able to return," reported the protagonist of successful soap operas such as Pasión de gavilanes, Un gancho al corazón and Qué bonito amor through a live broadcast that she made this Thursday through Instagram.
The 42-year-old interpreter has been unable to find a flight that will allow her to return to Mexico, the country where she has resided for several years and where she left her family.
“I went to try to change the flight […] so I went to the airport, there were huge lines for them to say 'no, you have to do it online'. I couldn't change my flight, so I look to see if I buy new flights and they cost 3,000 euros,”Danna shared on Instagram.
"Obviously I cannot pay those 3,000 euros of flight, nobody should pay them, there should be a kind of consideration because this is a world crisis," he added.
What causes Danna the most anguish of all this complex situation she is experiencing is not being able to be near her first-born, who is in Mexico.
"My baby is very well, he is not here, he is in Mexico, that is why I am terrified because I am far from my son," acknowledged the heroine of the melodrama Las Amazonas, who traveled to Spain only to resolve important document issues.
For the moment, and as her complicated situation is fixed, the actress continues to live in her in-laws' house.
“I am with my in-laws who are older people who need to have a space as clean as possible here […],” said Danna, who took advantage of her live show to send a message of prevention and awareness to her more than 1.5 million Instagram followers.
“No place is exempt, that's why I dared to touch this topic on social networks because it seems superimportant that we all take care of ourselves to take care of others, the people we love, that there is a lot of hygiene and, above all, if they can avoid public transport […]”, he shared.
