Prince Harry seems to have a clear goal of achieving economic independence after the "step back" he took with his wife Meghan Merkel in their roles within the British royal family.

According to the Daily Mirror, Queen Elizabeth's grandson has held talks with the powerful US financial firm Goldman Sachs. The contacts would have sustained them last November when the couple was preparing what would later be their separation from the royal family.

The consultant Mark Borkowski told the British newspaper that if the alleged collaboration agreement were carried out, Harry and Meghan could earn millions in numbers as speakers or brand ambassadors.

“They will earn fortunes, either through speeches or the work of ambassadors; these are a billion pound handshakes,”he said.

The newspaper indicates that Harry could join celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow or David Beckham who have participated in a series of conferences organized by the financial entity.

While these interventions are unpaid, they could be a step for the prince to transform his relationship into paid work in the future, he adds.

Harry took part in a public event for the first time since the change of his status in the British royal family in a summit on alternative investments sponsored by the JPMorgan bank in Miami.

At the event, he revealed that he had received therapy and spoke of the profound impact of the death of his mother, Princess Diana.
