Aaron Hernandez, a late NFL star and convicted of murder, was allegedly sexually abused, according to an investigative series conducted by the Boston Globe.

The New England Patriots player's friends, close associates, former teammates, and family have conducted a series of interviews setting out details of the player's life, who was sentenced to life in prison for the death of Odin Llyod in 2013, reports the New York Daily News. The former football player ended his life while in prison.

One of the data that emerged from the investigation is the fact that they assure that Hernández was sexually abused as a child. The journalistic note says that the player's brother, Johnathan Hernández, was the one who revealed that Aaron was abused as a young man. Data that was also confirmed by one of his lawyers, George Leontire, reports the New York Daily News. Neither his brother nor the player's lawyer gave details of who had committed the act against Aaron.
