After the Madame Tussauds museum in London decided to remove the wax statues of the Dukes of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, now it was up to the branch of that institution in New York City to announce the changes made to its exhibition of the British royal family.

Yokasta Colón, spokeswoman for the museum in New York, explained that because the couple have announced their independence from the crown, their wax figures have been separated from the British royal family and today they occupy "a new house" on another floor.

According to Colón, since the dukes have now been considered celebrities, they will share the floor occupied by other famous personalities such as Romeo Santos, also known as the king of bachata.

In a report on the Telemundo program A new day, Colón added that they will also change the clothing of Markle, who carries a replica of what she wore at a lunch she had with Queen Elizabeth in 2017.

Museum executives do not rule out the possibility of reuniting the couple with the wax statues of the Queen, the Prince of Wales, Prince Williams and Kate Middleton in response to any approach or arrangement in the family.

The London-based museum recently announced the removal of the wax works of the Dukes of Sussex hours after the surprise announcement that they were both seeking a greater degree of independence from English royalty.
