15 years ago, Mauricio Islas was involved in a controversial situation after being accused by Génesis Rodríguez of having raped her when the actress was a minor. Now, the protagonist of the soap opera La loba is going to capture this difficult moment in a book that will be released next 2020.

"What I include is [in the book], of course, all the stages in my life that have marked me [like what happened with Génesis Rodríguez], how they have marked me and each one that has left me," Islas told The media. "Ultimately, they are experiences you have in life and you have to live."

The histrion made it clear that he does not intend to speak ill of José Luis Rodríguez's daughter, he only wants to tell his personal experience with this situation. However, she clarified that she always knew that everything would be resolved adequately because the matter was different from how it was made public.

“They are always two sides. What I am talking about there is what it cost me, what I had to take responsibility for and, above all, what I understood from that process,”she emphasized. “I knew that sooner or later that issue was going to be fixed one way or another because things were not as they were said. But, regardless of that, there was something that I also had to take responsibility for, I had to experience it for something.”

Regarding whether Mauricio Islas has already forgiven Génesis Rodríguez, he was clear in his position.

"I have nothing to forgive," he said. "I'm happy".
