Spanish actress Paz Vega worked with the legendary Sylvester Stallone on the film Rambo: Last Blood, the latest installment in the Vietnam cap veteran saga that is now available on DVD. What was it like working with the famous actor?
The protagonist of the new version of Cuna de lobos, who plays a journalist who fights with Rambo against a criminal gang on the border with Mexico, exclusively told People en Español.
What did this tape leave you at a professional level?
Firstly, having had the opportunity to work with Sylvester Stallone. He is someone I have always admired and being able to participate in one of his most important sagas has been an honor and a privilege to be there. I have been left with a very beautiful feeling when playing Carmen Delgado, a woman who somehow, in her own way, continues to fight against the scourge [of trafficking in women] and who continues to fight against something that is a reality in many countries and he is a worthy character.
How is Carmen Delgado like Paz Vega?
I am a very passionate person, that when I believe in something, I fight for it and go for everything. I think my character was like that too.
What was it like to work with Silveste Stallone?
He is quite a gentleman. The most curious thing is that when you idealize someone sometimes when you meet him, you drop the idol, in this case it is just the opposite. Sylvester is a man who knows about cinema and how to tell a story. He is a person who knows a lot and who knows a lot about his character. It has a commitment to history. He is a great partner, he is someone who tries to help you and gives you freedom. He is someone who trusts his people and that gave me freedom to create and do my own thing. He is a person who has a fantastic sense of humor. He is a joker, I really enjoyed him the days I was working.
Any anecdote that you remember during the recording of the tape?
Action movies obviously require a lot of rehearsal, practicing fighting. There was a scene in a car that I had to do a double and I did it. You have to be very focused.
