The hustle and bustle of his career overwhelmed singer Pablo Alborán so much that he was forced to pause in 2015 to reevaluate everything that had happened to him in the five years that followed his launch to fame as a professional of the song.
But making an abrupt stop was not easy, so he had to seek professional help.
"I went to the psychologist, I think it is something that everyone should try," he confessed Thursday at an event in Spain, according to the agency Europa Press.
This stop in his career was necessary, according to the singer, to know how to deal with the fame he had obtained and although life in front of the cameras and reflectors seemed easy and glamorous, for the Spanish it was necessary to take a break and assimilate what was happening.
"[I learned] that you can stop, that is important to yourself," he said. "I recommend it to everybody. You shouldn't have a problem talking about it, but I do think it's important to be careful not to name things [easily] so easily. It is important to give the voice, but it is also important to go where you have to go, which is to go to the psychologist or the doctor”.
Alborán made this recommendation to his professional colleagues present at an awards ceremony in which he was awarded as national artist of the year.
He is currently promoting his most recent single, Tabú, alongside Ava Max, which premiered in early November and has already surpassed 14 million views.
