The world is experiencing difficult times because of the coronavirus and the worst thing is that we do not know when this nightmare will end. But what we do know is that within so much uncertainty and bad news, we have seen how many have come together to provide support to those who need it most. Both important fashion houses, as well as designers and beauty brands, have contributed their grain of sand, especially for our heroes, the hospital staff who day by day risk their lives to save the lives of others. Unfortunately, this pandemic has also affected the work of thousands of people in the United States, who today do not know how they will pay their rent or buy the food they need for their family.
That is why Claudia Zuleta, the stylist of celebrities such as Elizabeth Gutiérrez, Clarissa Molina, William Levy and Lili Estefan among others, decided to launch the #Dameunamanoamiga initiative to help those people who have lost their jobs and who now do not know if they are going to have to eat. Through her social networks Zuleta has asked her followers to donate a gift card of places where you can buy food and other essential items such as Target, Walmart and Amazon.
"I feel grateful since my reality is not that of thousands of people, especially from our Latino community, who work day by day to cover their basic expenses and be able to supply their homes with food," Zuleta tells us. “I was overcome with sadness to think of all of them who lost their jobs and that this was their only source of income. I know that we can help and use our networks to generate collaborative initiatives in these uncertain times.”

Best of all, in addition to making a call to her followers, Zuleta also contacted her famous friends, who luckily said present and are supporting her in this beautiful project with which she has already helped 29 families and is going for more. Celebrities such as Pamela Silva, Ximena Duque, Giselle Blondet, Clarissa Molina, Carmen Villalobos, Lili Estefan and Elizabeth Gutiérrez, among others, have already contributed their bit and you can do it too. At the moment the initiative plans to help about 70 families.
If you are interested in donating or if you need to receive one of these cards, go to the Instagram account @Claudiafashions and follow the instructions. Very soon they will be sending more help.
Excellent initiative. Bravo!
