The wave of murders of women and girls in Mexico has increased recently; Given this, a series of actions are being carried out in order to combat femicides and create laws that protect the integrity of women. However, the lack of forceful actions by all levels of government and the authorities have forced extreme measures to be taken. Thus, the initiative "A day without Mexicans" emerged, to which many celebrities have joined, including actress Vanessa Bauche, who is one of its promoters.

"The reality is that women do not matter visible, so let's see if we become invisible," Bauche told the Mexican newspaper El Universal.

This campaign proposes that on March 9, after the International Women's Day that is commemorated on the 8th of the same month, all the representatives of the female sex make a National Strike throughout Mexico, while the men carry out their respective tasks.

"So they can see what it's like to be without 51% of the Mexican population one day," Micha said on his radio program. "They don't like protests, they don't like us to paint, they don't like sprays, well then, let's do this."

Other famous women who have joined the movement "A day without Mexican women" are Natalia Lafourcade, Ariadne Díaz, Cecilia Suárez, Dolores Heredia, Mon Laferte and Tessa Ia, among others.
