Coronavirus has spread in an unexpected way through some of the world's cities, and many industries have been affected, including the fashion and beauty industries. And it is that since the Milan Fashion Week began we saw the havoc that the epidemic was causing when several designers decided to cancel or carry out their shows behind closed doors. Since then, many fashion shows, to be held in the coming months, have been canceled. All stores, including major department stores as well as luxury stores, have also closed their doors until further notice. But we cannot deny that those who are most exposed and incidentally the most affected by all this are the people who work in hospitals. So the fashion industry wants to help.

A few days ago we reported on the initiative of the company that has brands such as Givenchy and Christian Dior, it had announced that it would use the laboratories where they make perfumes and cosmetics, to make disinfecting gel for the French authorities and public hospitals. Now another major company has decided to do the same in the United States.

We are talking about Coty Inc., which owns brands like CoverGirl, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein, Bond and Kylie Cosmetics, announced that it will use its manufacturing facilities to make disinfectant gel to give away to people who work in hospitals and services of emergency.

"Coty is adjusting production at some of its manufacturing facilities to be able to provide antibacterial gel free of charge to medical personnel and people working in emergency services, which is where they are most needed," says the statement the company sent. "We want to stay close to our community during this extremely challenging time."

Bravo!
