No sector escapes the effects of the coronavirus. The pandemic that already affects more than 160,000 worldwide is also having devastating economic consequences at all levels. To do their bit, the Spanish wedding dresses firm Pronovias has launched the Heroes Collection initiative through which it will give wedding dresses to future brides who work in hospitals and who are on the front line facing the coronavirus.
The suits will be available at the brand's stores for nurses, doctors, cafeteria workers or hospital cleaning services. "The company's initiative seeks to celebrate its extraordinary commitment and selfless dedication in the fight against this global pandemic," they explained in a statement to the media.
"We are very grateful to the heroines of these hospitals who risk their lives to save others without rest," said Amandine Ohayon, Executive Director of Pronovias. "Donating our dresses to wonderful women is the least we can do to bring happiness and joy on their wedding day and make them feel and look amazing."
The Catalan brand started the program in China earlier this year and now, as the virus spreads in other countries, they are expanding the program to other affected areas.
The costumes to be donated have been personally selected by the creative director of the firm, Alessandra Rinaudo, who has assured that it is an honor for her to share these dresses.
All future brides employed in a hospital can get one of the dresses until August 31, 2020. The collection of dresses will be available in Pronovias stores in: Spain) Barcelona, Madrid and Seville), USA (New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Houston), Mexico (Mexico City).
