For a few days, the important Milan Fashion Week was being held with great success in that Italian city and we say it in the past because just on its last day, there was an unexpected turn that has changed the turn of many of the shows. As we already know, the coronavirus started in Wuhan, China and has spread to other cities in Asia and the United States. But a few days ago he also arrived in Italy where they already report six dead and more than 200 infected. Therefore, the different designers who were preparing to present their collections at the important fashion event had to make changes.

It turns out due to the alarm caused by the deaths and the new cases of contagion, some events, including the Michael Kors parade, were canceled this weekend and although other shows, such as the Dolce & Gabbana show and the Hugo Boss show, if they were carried out, Giorgio Armani made a drastic decision.

The prestigious Italian artist decided to cancel the presentation of his new collection, scheduled for Sunday at 4 pm, but instead of packing and going home, he decided to present his designs in the same place where he had it scheduled from the beginning, but what made without an audience.

“The show will be presented behind closed doors due to recent coronavirus cases in Italy. [It will] be broadcast live in an empty theater on the Armani website, therefore, please do not attend the show,”the designer announced in a statement. "This decision was made to protect the well-being of all the guests by preventing them from being in places where there is a crowding of people."

Today begins the Paris Fashion Week and it remains to be seen if, as in Milan, some of the shows are canceled or if attendance will be minimal.
