The coronavirus pandemic, which now totals 200,000 cases of contagion worldwide, is disrupting the plans of many television networks, including Televisa.
The company, which this Wednesday was going to perform in Mexico the presentation of its new soap opera I give you life in forum 9 of Televisa San Ángel, has decided to cancel the event as a preventive measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The melodrama starring José Ron, Eva Cedeño and Jorge Salinas, however, continues to maintain its release date for next Monday, March 23 at 6:30 in the evening by Las Estrellas.
The fiction, which will soon land in Hispanic prime time, tells the story of two families who come into contact through Nicolás (Leonardo Herrera), adoptive son of Elena (Cedeño) and Ernesto (Jorge Salinas).
Elena, Ernesto and Nicolás were a happy family until Nicolás was diagnosed with leukemia.
The plot begins when the family is in a desperate situation, Nicolás urgently needs a bone marrow transplant and only Pedro (Ron), Nicolás' biological father, is compatible with him.
Unlike Telemundo, which suspended the production of its new soap opera 100 days in Miami to fall in love until further notice, Televisa continues to record its different fictions on its Mexico City forums, including Como tú no hay 2 and Imperio de mentiras, the latter with Angelique Boyer and Andrés Palacios.

The Mexican television station has taken extreme precautions to prevent the casts of its soap operas from spreading by adopting the corresponding hygiene and protection measures, such as mouthguards, antibacterial gel, as well as limiting calls for outdoor recording.
According to the latest data provided by El País, Mexico currently has slightly more than 90 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
