How To Put False Eyelashes

If you are fascinated by how false eyelashes look but you don't use them because you don't know how to put them on, don't worry, you're not alone. We spoke with makeup artist Deysi Lomeli, @deysidanger, an expert in false eyelashes who has worked with firms such as Morphe, who has shared her best tricks with us and also the worst mistakes we make when applying this beauty accessory. Read these tips and learn once and for all how to master the technique.

“The number one mistake is putting too much glue on! If you put a lot of it, it sticks everywhere and that's why people think it is [a process] cumbersome and complicated. [Also] If the glue doesn't dry well the lashes won't stick.

* For those who are doing it for the first time, the best type of eyelash is something more natural with a thinner line, such as Morphe's “Flirt Alert”. When applying lashes, start at the center and then connect the inner and outer ends. The adhesive line should go just above the natural line of your lashes. If you use tweezers to place them it will be easier.

* What if you can use a pair of tabs more than once? It all depends on the quality of the fibers that the lashes are made of and how you store them. Morphe's [that I use] can be used up to 15 times.

* Normally lashes are sold in boxes and I suggest that as soon as you take them off, put the goals back in the box.
