One of the most important galas of the year was held this week at Buckingham Palace. The Queen Elizabeth, accompanied by her son Charles, Camilla and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, received at the royal palace to the British diplomatic corps and was a detail of her outfit was the most commented night, with permission from the tiara she wore Kate Middleton, who was Princess Diana's favorite.

The monarch received her more than 1,000 guests with an impressive necklace that she had never worn before, or never in public, in her more than 65 years of reign. What is known by many and no less spectacular is the tiara with which the necklace was combined. Known as the Vladimir tiara, it is the same one that was denied to Meghan Markle on her wedding day. According to PEOPLE and the British media, the reason was that the exact origin of the jewels was not known.

The jewels in the Greville collection have been shrouded in mystery since the aristocrat Margaret Greville gave the queen a selection of her finest pieces in the 1940s, believed to have originally belonged to Queen Maria Antoinette and Empress Josephine of France.

Although it is not clear if this necklace belongs to that collection or if it is a new piece made to measure to combine with the drop-shaped emeralds of the tiara and original earrings, it is a spectacular piece that got the queen to monopolize all flashes.
