Music first, then makeup, then underwear, and now a clothing line. Earlier this month, singer Rihanna, 31, became the first woman of color to launch a luxury clothing collection in Paris under LVMH. Now we have finally been able to see the first pieces of its first line of clothing with its own brand. The creator of Fenty was interviewed by the New York Times magazine T Magazine where she showed off some of her designs and told a little about the inspiration behind it and how it is breaking the fashion rules in the industry.

“I use myself as my own muse. It's either pearl sweatshirts or a men's jacket with a corset,”Rihanna explained to the publication about her collection inspired by her own style. Pieces include structured silhouettes, cinched at the waist with a neutral color palette. A mix of masculine style with feminine touches, which we have seen in the outfits that the singer regularly wears.

As for breaking the rules, the singer assured that she will not present Fenty on the seasonal catwalks but will be sold directly to the consumer with new designs every few weeks in her online store. As with its Savage x Fenty underwear line, this line seeks to be inclusive in terms of a variety of sizes. "I'm thick and curvy right now," Rihanna commented, "and if I can't use my own stuff then, I mean, it's not going to work, is it?"

The pieces, according to the magazine, will have a value of the 29 of that month.
