-Using fingers. apply a concealer around the lip area until the natural lip line disappears. Do not cover them completely. Then apply a little translucent loose powder on top.

-When you apply lipstick directly from the tube you almost always end up applying more color than you need. Better use your fingers to apply the color. Less quantity ensures that the color does not damage or water.

-When you already have the color applied with a tassel a little translucent powder. If you prefer a brighter finish when you use a long-lasting lipstick like Rouge Essentiel Silky Crème Lipstick, by Laura Mercier, you can apply another coat of color after powders and you won't have such a matte finish.

-If you are going to use a lipstick with a creamier finish, I recommend applying loose powder before coloring. This gives you more texture and helps the lipstick stick to the lips. You can use a brush to apply the lipstick.
