Since Kim Kardashian became an icon of beauty and a pioneer in new makeup trends, her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic also rose to fame and it was no wonder. The young man has an extraordinary talent for makeup and thanks to social networks, his muse helped him show his skills to the rest of the world. Now Dedivanovic has become the most sought-after, respected, and admired makeup artist in the art world, collaborating with Kardashian on a palette of shadows and becoming Laura Mercier's ambassador. We spoke with him so that he could tell us a little more about his beginnings, his favorite beauty trend for this spring and, of course, so that he could share with us one or another make-up tip.

Mario, how did you find out that makeup was your passion?

When I was 17 years old, I started working as a fragrance vendor in Sephora, Manhattan and started giving makeup advice to customers who asked me. From there I became obsessed with makeup and beauty. Eventually I started working outside the sales department and started assisting with top makeup artists and creating my portfolio.

What is your favorite makeup trend for this spring?

I love that radiant skin has become more popular, especially now that spring is coming. I am fascinated with the new Flawless Lumière Radiance Perfecting Foundation by Laura Mercier to achieve a radiant finish on the skin. I also use Laura Mercier's Translucent Loose Setting Powder-Glow on the upper parts of the face to give it a luminous finish. However, I also like to use it on the body, in places like on the shoulders and neck, to get an extra glow.

When it comes to applying makeup, do you prefer prestigious brands or the ones you find in the pharmacy?

I love a variety of products, both prestigious and from the pharmacy. So it is difficult for me to choose one or the other.

If you had to use only three products for a week, what would they be?

You would definitely need Laura Mercier's Translucent Loose Setting Powder to finish your makeup. Vaseline or lip balm to hydrate the skin and lips, and add a little glow. [Also] you would need Caviar Chrome Lightweight Liquid Eye Color to use on the eyes, and even as a highlighter on the skin or lips.

What are your favorite Instagram accounts?

The @Phylliscohen_Archives account has very inspiring makeup looks. Also the page of the London artist @FacebyFrances is beautiful and inspiring for me.

If you could choose a Latina to do her makeup, who would it be?

I have been very fortunate to have been able to work with many incredible Latinas including Jennifer López, Demi Lovato, Christina Aguilera, Michelle Rodríguez, Eva Longoria, Dania Ramírez, Adrienne Bailon and many more. I have never worked with Penélope Cruz, so I would choose her.
