In the 80s she was the muse of Yves Saint Laurent, she starred on the cover of Vogue, Redbook and so many other top magazines of the time, she went on to earn $ 1 million for 20 days of work and now, at 57, she lives in the streets of Barcelona and spend the nights on a bench. How did it get there?

The news of the sad situation in which Nastasia Urbano lives now has gone around the world after she gave an interview to the Catalonian newspaper and has already appeared in newspapers and websites from New York to London.

Among the most outstanding achievements of the model at the top of her career, she starred in beauty campaigns for the Revlon firm alongside tops such as Linda Evangelista and starred in the commercial for the perfume Opium, by Yves Saint Laurent, undoubtedly one of the most emblematic of that decade and probably in the history of perfumery. To give you an idea of the level he was at, that announcement was directed by filmmaker David Lynch, one of the most requested and famous of the time for works such as Dune, Blue Velvet or the legendary Twin Peaks series.

And what happened then? The model has confessed in her interview for the Catalan newspaper that everything was cut short when she met her ex-husband.

“Every year I came to Barcelona to visit my parents. One of those times I met my ex-husband and that was the end of it all, he left me with what I was wearing. The only good thing about that relationship has been my children, but the rest was horrible. I paid for everything with my money. On the second day of meeting him, he wanted me to buy him a BMW, and I, like a fool, wrote him the check. I was in love, she said.

The former model, who suffers from depression and requires medication, has recognized that after losing everything, she has worked as a cleaner and babysitter and has been evicted up to three times.

We do not know if as a result of the publication of this news, a campaign has been published through the gofundme platform to raise funds to help the former model get ahead.

"He has nowhere to live and no money to cover his basic needs … He needs to rent a small apartment, cover three months of bail, buy the basics to feel like a normal person and wants to start again," says the campaign.
