Ever since she started her career in the beauty pageant world when she was just 17 years old, Migbelis Castellanos always had a complex, her curves. And it is that as a good Latina, the model has beautiful curves which have not always worked in her favor. However, over time she has realized that it is precisely her figure is one of her greatest attributes and has learned to take advantage of it. We talked to her about her new life, the challenges she has faced and, of course, about that heart attack.

"Now it definitely is a benefit because I learned that this is the body that I have and the one that has helped me to do many things in my life," says the beautiful Venezuelan woman, whom we now see every Sunday in Mira who dances All Stars. (Univision. "Yes, there was a time when I thought that was my disadvantage, but because I let myself be carried away by what people expected of me and by what people wanted to see from me according to the stigma of society."

However, that insecurity never discouraged Castellanos, much less distanced her from the dream of participating in beauty pageants - she represented Venezuela in the Miss Universe of 2014 - and much less stopped her when auditioning for Nuestra Belleza Latina.

“When I really began to love myself more, to value myself more, to understand that I have lived in many bodies. In slimmer, more toned, fuller bodies and all have been due because the circumstances of life have led me to that. So I began to value more that, more naturalness, that this is my body and can be molded with anything. What never molds is the personality, he confesses. “I am very grateful to God that he has made me very sure now of what I am as a woman, beyond my body. It took me time to love my curves and everything because I come from beauty pageants and I was always told that I was a fat woman. These curves have brought me to where I am now.”

Of course, the fact that you are happy with your curves does not mean that you do not take care of yourself to maintain the ideal weight and also enjoy good health.

“I already know what I like, what I don't like. The type of food I have to consume to reach a goal. I try not to eat carbohydrates at night. If I get anxious like a lot of popcorn if I go out and with nothing. I drink protein shakes when I'm very hungry, says the presenter. “I train because I am happy to train. It sets me free. I drain all the stress. I like exercises that are competitive like jumping, grabbing a rope, knocking down rubbers. All those kinds of things that make me feel like a strong woman.”
