There are so many beauty products on the market that we sometimes forget that we can create our own beauty solutions ourselves. In addition to saving you money, the advantage of making your recipes is knowing exactly what ingredients you should use in order to avoid chemicals that can affect your face.

Luckily, Kika Rocha comes this week with some perfect beauty tips to put into practice this Thanksgiving Day. The beauty expert shared with us four recipes - an illuminating mask, a hair tonic, a depigmenting mask and a detox drink - with ingredients you can get in your kitchen in the fall.

The illuminating mask recommended by the expert has blueberries as the main ingredient, rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, as well as yogurt that has properties to restore the skin. "This porridge that gets a pink color is applied in circular movements on the face, left for a few minutes and rinsed with cold water," says Rocha.

Again with cranberries, the expert teaches how to make a hair tonic that stimulates the scalp, hair growth and restores shine to your hair. With a part of fresh blueberry juice and another part of apple cider vinegar, a liquid is created to use after the shampoo and conditioner that is massaged into the scalp and rinsed with cold water to obtain a light effect. "Cranberry juice, rich in vitamin C, is used to treat hair problems, from damaged and dry hair to more serious problems such as alopecia," says the expert.

The second mask recommended by Rocha is obtained with the pulp of the pumpkin, rich in vitamins A and C and improves depigmentation of the face. To achieve this, mix an egg white, half a cup of pumpkin pulp and half a tablespoon of agave skin. It spreads on the face and neck, leaving it to act for 10 to 15 minutes, and then rinses with warm water.

The latest recipe treats beauty from within and consists of a green apple, ginger, and cucumber smoothie to drink after Thanksgiving dinner.
