Today Belinda has become one of the best dressed artists in show business. And it is that the Mexican singer has a tuning with fashion and shows it every time she walks the carpet of an event or award. Her outfits are always bold and bold while remaining elegant and sophisticated. In fact, this taste for fashion led her to create her own collection of shoes for the Capa de ozono brand and this year she launched to design a clothing collection with the Colombian brand Studio F. “I like to transform my looks at different times of my life”, confesses the interpreter of“Let yourself go”, 28 years old, who stands out for her eclectic and modern looks in which ripped jeans, leather jackets, creative prints and all kinds of heels predominate."Feeling good about what you wear is the best fashion." We contacted her to tell us about her new projects, her love for everything fashion and the odd little secret of style. Read below everything she told us.

You have had a busy summer with concerts in both Spain and Mexico. How would you define the musical moment you are going through?

I am in a great moment because I have had incredible growth, maturity in recent years. [I am] much more musically aware of everything, much more open to collaborations and rhythm fusions. I have concentrated on fashion, since I was designing a collection for a very important clothing company that is Studio F and I have become very involved in social work. I have diversified my career in different areas doing different things.

You have always stood out for your original style. What meaning does fashion have for you?

I liked fashion a lot from a very young age. I really like to take risks. I don't have a style that I consider specific, it depends on how I feel. I am a very changeable woman. Just as I can wear a very serious dress, I can also wear torn jeans and a sexier dress. I like to set a trend, but also if someone puts something in fashion I join.

Who are you inspired by when dressing?

Lady Di, who was an elegant woman, and Kate Moss, who is a rock woman and at the same time has a lot of personality. Obviously Coco Chanel was also an impressive woman with a unique style.

Do social networks influence your style?

Notice that I really like Pinterest, but I don't have that much time to browse the networks either. I try not to get too involved in it either because it can be a vice and I would not like to be like those women who are all day in the networks watching things. I am inspired by art, on the street. I really like the colors of artists like Frida Kahlo. There is an incredible Mexican artist who made me the costumes for the concert at the Azteca stadium [which closed the campaign of the next president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador]. His name is Armando Mafud and his collections are like works of art and he is inspired by the fashion of our roots. That inspires me more than Instagram, [where] the things you see are not so original.

What other designers do you like?

Maria Grazia Chiuri, the new Dior designer, fascinates me. It seems to me that she is a mystical and [educated] woman. In one of her collections, which is one of my favorites, she was inspired by the Tarot cards and she is terrific because you believe or not in the esoteric, she is part of a [belief]. Always support women.

What has the experience of designing a clothing collection been like and what can you expect from your shoe line?

[The collection] was a long process of [choosing] tones, combinations at your discretion and your taste, and what you want to convey. My first collection was inspired by Coachella and music festivals and was sold out in Mexico and Colombia in the first 24 hours. Before the end of the year we launched the second collection. I still can't get much ahead of the shoe collection. It is a project that is going to be incredible. I will start designing already in the next few weeks.

How do you take care of yourself in terms of beauty?

I take care of myself, but I'm not an obsessive woman. An obsessive woman who is thinking about her face and body all day long doesn't enjoy life, and you miss out on the best things. The most important thing is to have a balance. I remove my make-up before sleeping, I try not to sunbathe, but when I go to the beach I try to put on a strong sunscreen. Beauty is important, but the interior is important.
